"Kahit Isang Saglit," one of the region’s biggest and much-awaited Asianovelas, will have its world premiere today on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida. With Asian hearth-throb Jericho Rosales and one of the brightest young TV stars and models of Malaysia Carmen Soo as topbillers, "Kahit Isang Saglit" is expected to


reign over the airwaves here and in Malaysia (where Jericho became a household word via the teleserye "Pangako Sa ‘Yo," which also starred Kristine Hermosa) and other countries starting this September.

"Kahit Isang Saglit" is ABS-CBN’s first collaboration with a foreign production outfit, Double Vision of Malaysia. Completing the powerhouse cast are Christopher de Leon, Albert Martinez, Cristine Reyes, Dick Israel, Malou de Guzman, Isabel Rivas, Wilma Doesn’t, Empoy, and Malaysian stars Louisa Chong, Soosan Hoh, and Awal Ashaari.
The late Manong Gilbert Perez first directed "Kahit Isang Saglit," and it is now under the helm of Jerry Sineneng. The title serves as a tribute to "Manong" since his first movie project under Star Cinema also had "Kahit Isang Saglit" as its title.

They say love knows no boundaries, and in "Kahit Isang Saglit," Jericho and Carmen play star-crossed lovers in this one-of-a-kind story that transcends culture, class, and the odds in between. Jericho as Rocky Santillan, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agent, is in pursuit of justice for his father’s death, while Carmen as Garie Hang-Li from a rich family is in search of her long-lost father. In their search of their individual goals, they found each other.

Jericho stands to gain a lot from "Kahit Isang Saglit" since it will serve as his comeback. He was out of the limelight for a year, during which he concentrated on his singing. But while on his musical journey of sort, he realized he has to do something to prove his mettle once more. "Minsan kasi may nagsabi sa akin, ‘Ano, musikero ka na lang ba?’ Nasaktan ako, not only for myself but for all (the) singers and musicians," Jericho related. "May purpose ang bawat tao…I realized my mistakes, I learned from them. I also learned how to let go…," he added.

Now about their roles:

As PDEA agent, Jericho’s goal and mission is to subdue Amorseko, the biggest drug syndicate in the Philippines in hopes that this will lead him to his father’s killers. This goal will bring him to Malaysia where he will find the love he has waited for in his life.

As Garie Hang-Li, Carmen is a nice lady, but she is also a fighter. Her goal is to go to the Philippines to look for her long-lost father.

Christopher de Leon is Anthony Mondragon, a man looked up to in society. He is influential and mighty, but his weakness is with the woman he loves.

Cristine Reyes is Alona Mondragon who feels unloved by her mother, but has full of love for Rocky. She provides the third side of the love triangle with Jericho and Carmen.

Albert Martinez is Ronaldo Dimaandal, who’s out to become the leader of Amorseko, but all his plans changed when he met Eunice (Soosan Hoh), an obedient daughter but who defied her mother when she met Ronaldo. Falling for him changed and destroyed her life, but she never regretted it because the product of her love affair with Ronaldo was Garie.

D!ck Israel is Mateo, Rocky’s commander at PDEA.

Isabel Rivas is Vivian Mondragon. All she wanted is to be loved by Anthony Mondragon. She’s willing to be a martyr just to be loved even just a little bit by her husband.

Malou de Guzman is Marian Dimaandal, Rocky’s loving aunt; Empoy Marquez is Nestor, the funny partner of Rocky at PDEA; Wilma Doesnt is Mona, who provides fun and laughter to Rocky and their friends.
